Tip to make Windows 10 faster

Is your PC running Windows 10 getting slower and slower? Here is a little tip allowing you to gain power. In reality windows 10 or today thanks to the various updates it has become very stable and fast. There are still times when your computer slows down a little or crashes completely.

To prevent this, we will optimize virtual memory and some other Windows settings.

Start your PC into Windows and follow the steps below to configure virtual memory optimizations.

  • In the Windows bar, click in the search box and enter “Performance”
  • Then click on “Adjust Windows appearance and performance”.
  • Next, click on the “Advanced” tab, then “Edit” (Virtual Memory Section).

In my case, the virtual memory used by Windows is 640 MB as shown in the screenshot below.

These 640 MB are far from the 1151 MB of virtual memory that Windows recommends for this PC. So all we have to do is assign the recommended virtual memory size to the PC.

  • To do this, uncheck the “Automatic paging file management for readers” box.
  • Subsequently, fill in the “Initial size (MB)” and “Maximum size (MB)” boxes with the value recommended by Windows.
  • Save everything and restart your computer.

Although this manipulation is very simple, after restarting you will see a clear difference. Because then you will have a faster and super responsive computer.

Please note that you can return to the previous mode (Automatic Management) at any time. All you need to do is check the “Automatic management of the paging file for readers” box.
